I write from my heart, as an amateur poet whose love for math, philosophy and knowledge guides my pen and trickles down to the essence of the poems therein. I love engaging with you: for criticism, please feel free to write your thoughts on the poems or ideas you have or even give suggestions.

diogenes
the midnight oil
searching for an honest man
may as well extinguish the sun
or sleep in a jar
in the busy market place.
These words spoken:
action is a loud mouth
that manifests humility
it animates a demagogue
to a platform higher
than the outspoken pedagogue
a life of morals
inspires a generation
a slumber in a jar
lays bare the ills of wealth
not a fat bellied remark
on a thinning audience
so i walk to sinope
to sleep in a jar
and in the busy market place,
fuel the lantern once more.

chars and burns
glowing on a splinter
and dance on a candle
as on twin hearts of youth
of life's mount ascent
burning with potential
burn on i burn
kindled upon the hearth
a live beating heart!
the brazier sooner bakes
the oven alike
overcome are we all
mothers teach of it
and sons burn
and call it love.
and so the wilderness is consumed
and turns barren and...
countries turn to dust
religions are tested
chars and burns
ash and asinine scalds
bedevil those but us whose
golden coat is purified
sons of the sun
reborn phoenixes

the life cycle
is never that of breadth
only in youth it was
pain so untold
rule the realm
and never did the cloud pass
until way past
until another emerged
and in fear i faltered
a teenage in shadows
whispers of death and carnage
cuddled my blood and i,..
lost myself in the murky place
where victory was mine
i reaped nothing
for nothing a sowing begets nothing
hesitation took the day
way past where a man is formed
in the kiln of life i cracked
a deformed jar is soon crushed
wasn't so lucky
a loner in life
cried for graves UN-beckoning
defined by a solitary thought of hate
and where they go when in need
indeed it escaped the lonesome
power is for the wielding
the powerful rule the frail
this power being given
i vowed...
never erect a monument
for another but myself
we see them
in a pedestal
of their own erecting
describing a world of dreams
as they would wish it was
and hear them tell tales
of their own legends
their might unrivaled
in their childish reveries
mind permitting,
the heart creates illusions of grandeur
that the body exist in
like a mindless ostrich
aloof to the vicissitudes of mortal living
the churn of chronos pass unseen
screams of praise pass to them
from their loving subjects
to the diadem of their majesty
whether a vagrant at the road side
or the insane at the asylum
or a leader,
divorced from the love
you see them
in a pedestal of their erecting
living in a world of dreams
enslaved by their own devices

rain clouds
and heaven awaits
i stand corrected
where i saw darkness
i err in shame
where i lost my will
where to live i faltered.
fools live in bliss
i live perturbed
my sleep stirred by whispers
my eyes wide open
i see the stark figures
and sleep no more
i have let people define my worth
and so forth and forth
the scales have fallen
i have been found wanting
by eyes as blind as night
and so i see that where ...
i had lost everything
now i know
i gained it all

A life in time
all that i may be
And all yet to come
Im but a traveller through time
Wadding through lifes slime
I have seen,
War waged upon the weak
Victims violated by the victorsUpon the heaping loot
Where darkness crept and souls
leapt
found treasures upon the crypt
For the outspoken
No spasms of joys awaits
Still heros emerge to restore hope
A thin line to walk
And i none to talk
And so
For those who remains
The thrill of ascession awaits
And i join upon the end of living
For the life long foretold
Full of joy untold

twice removed
as a passing maiden
whose natural ebullience sparks
the embers of youthful masculinity
and forms a resolute resolve
to play the demigod
on the alters of Eros
no more innocent an ink
did grace the parchment
how indelible!
in the belly of the day
in perfect harmony, a poem wrote
that ran;
''let us meet, where the rock crumbles
and when the dawn cracks
and see the sun set in our lives.''
so each year he ran,
where the rock crumbled
when the dawn cracked
and saw the sun set in his life.
beauty fades away
like the sands of time
it goes away
and the past comes to haunt
the letters unread
the unfulfilled pleas
and desperation ignites until
that year she ran
where the rock crumbles
when the dawn cracked
to see if the sun had set
oh how the story goes
and there was love untold
upon the young and the old

choices
Day to day
You give me two doors
Lost,i wonder
About What lies yonder
The limit of one
I am lost
You wait to pounce
Whichever i take
I am lost
One leads to two
In eternity i am humbled
Yet you keep true
Amidst tales of butterflies
That weather the storm
And shake our foundations
Given but time
And yet i know~the doors lost
Were taken elsewhere
And at least in one
I am happy
Of the choice i made:
In the others
I am lost!
