if my love ever falter
on my neck a deathly halter,
if its purity ever be altered,
a sacrilege to your alter,
if its sweet voice ever stutter,
or its eye close its shutter,
then death is all i muster,
a man that love never did master,
whose divine song shouldnt even
mutter,
if my love ever do falter,
then of me,what a character!
