WHEN TEARS ARE TRIVIAL

WHEN TEARS ARE TRIVIAL

where were you?
When he hated the pills,
day in day out,
strongly sedated,
the noose a nagging seduction,
when all required was comfort:
a soothing word,
now your tears seem trivial.

Why did you arrive so soon?
Sooner than the undertaker,
just after the reaper,
to offer your help,
i feel lost,
i cant fathom it,but i know
your tears are trivial.

My tears are uncried,
yours have ran dry.
I saw his dying breath,
i felt the heart stop,
i saw the eyes close,
never again to open!
So i understand,
how vain and hypocritical,
i alone,more than any other.
Comprehend...
When tears are trivial.
