It was at the edge,
the edge of universe,
the event horizon,
where i heard your voice,
faint and frail,
i almost let it fade,
efface into nothingness,
it was a whisper of love.
At first it was a star,
brilliant and splendid,
resplendent.
Or was it your eye,
i found my pearl,
in the song they let,
a song of love.
It was a whisper of love,
that gave me wings,
it was cherubic cupid,
in a midnight whim,
it was an impromptu swim,
upon the waters of fantasy.
It was in the whisper.
You were a legend.
Better than my myths,
Or housewife tales,
Damn spoofs,
I sat to write you a story,
One with no end,
Enlightening yet ebullient
,
Valorous yet vivacious,
A tragic comedy,
It was a story of love.
It was the butterflies,
In my stomach,
That stole my words,
And left silence,
Yet i had much to say,
My lips did part,
Yet no words did depart,
Just whispers,
Whispers of love,
In the edge of solitude,
Your words were solace,
Barely audible:
Whispers of love!
I write from my heart, as an amateur poet whose love for math, philosophy and knowledge guides my pen and trickles down to the essence of the poems therein. I love engaging with you: for criticism, please feel free to write your thoughts on the poems or ideas you have or even give suggestions.
