it was the alluring words,
That i dared ignore,
Lulling as a hyptonist's,
Bespoked in virgin eloquence,
Vivified in poetic prose,
Thats aethetically hellenistic,
Save for greek tragedy,
She-homer in her element!
It was an ode of love.
It was fear of our fate,
Joined to be torn asunder,
By a ghastly god,
With a macabre sense of humour,
It was the gaping rift,
I never in mind, swift,
You,a precious gift,
Cast our individual ways, never to see light of day.
It was the sting of eros wing,
It was the way you sing,
The tide you were to bring,
It was the lost smile,
Your charm,now extinct,
Your once animated eyes,
Your hair without bounce,
Or feet joy announce,
It was your gone essence.
That inspired my reply.
When i said 'no',now i blame these,
Will your whisper never me sooth?
Will i forever be guilty and uncouth?
A man,dead in his youth!
I write from my heart, as an amateur poet whose love for math, philosophy and knowledge guides my pen and trickles down to the essence of the poems therein. I love engaging with you: for criticism, please feel free to write your thoughts on the poems or ideas you have or even give suggestions.
