THOMAS
at last i believe,
the feeling of relief
i saw the silhouette,
fading in the twilight
i heard it speak softly
on to my timid ear
now it forever echo's,
year from year
at last i believe,
that a man can love so
love the breath of air
that rocks the hair
love the sun ray
i believe that with time
dark gives way to light
and the bright
are given clear sight
at last i believe
that God took his time
in his heavenly toil
for in this barren earth,
i saw a work of art,
to see is to believe
and i in the dark
in the fading light of night
saw you go by,walk so shy
and i believed
