THE CONDO

THE CONDOMINIUM
a mansion,this house wasn't
always,
it is entwined with my history,
ill unfold its mystery-
you see:
i laid every stone in pure art,
dug the firm foudation with tact,
furnished every cozy room,
i built this house on my own...
I took pains to plant,
the seeds of green bushes,
now these hedges doth show,
an enigma of leafy health!
Behold an edifice of stone,
none equal to this one,
even kings want to live,
in this adorned manor,
but you see:
i toiled day and night,
wrought the bars with steel,
crowned the rails with gold,
and crested the windows with
diamonds...
So in town the ladies flirt,
giggle in seductive guffaws,
just for an invite to my house of
stone,
to touch tiled smooth floors,
and breathe in the fragrant violet
paint,
but you see:
the grass is greener yonder,
their huts stand undone,
as they adore my indian-styled
facade,
so i let laziness flood their abode,
because mine is built on a rock!
